Easy Kisses 300

HelloMaphie - Easy Kisses Valentine's Day Nail Tutorial
Difficulty level: Easy

This simple nail tutorial shows you how to make luscious kisses on your nails. Starting with a basic coat of sky blue, in one corner of your nail create an easy bird shape in red, and add a corresponding curve underneath -- voila, a pair of lips. Repeat this on the other half for a second kiss, and then add a colour accent with a pink shade over the top.

Easy Kisses 300

TotallyCoolNails - Simple Pink and Blue Valentine's Day Nails
Difficulty level: Medium

Slightly more complicated, but still a good one for nail art beginners, this tutorial shows you how to cover your nails with cute hearts. You also start with a blue base on all five nails, but this technique has a couple of different looks for different nails. The simple effect starts with little white hearts painted directly over the blue base. For a contrasting nail, paint one large heart in white in the centre of the nail and top it off with some pink polish. Then use a small dotting tool dipped in clear polish to add a ring of small gold glitter dots around the edge of the heart. You can then add another line of white dots around that using a toothpick and seal the look with a topcoat of clear polish.

Water Marble 300

SimpleLittlePleasures - Valentine's Day Water Marble Nail Art Tutorial
Difficulty level: Hard

The most complicated look starts with a simple cup of filtered water. Drip alternating shades of pink nail polish into the centre of the water (you can also add gold and silver colours for a metallic accent) to build up a bullseye effect on the water surface. You then take an orange stick manicure tool and start to draw your design into the polish as it floats on the water. Use a light touch and wipe off the orange stick as necessary. Prepare your nail for dunking by covering the surrounding skin with sticky tape (to prevent varnish from sticking to the skin), then dip your digit into the marble design. Use the orange stick to scoop around and clear any debris from the water and remove your nail. Tap off any remaining water and pull off the tape and you'll have a perfect pink and gold marbled nail. Repeat for your other fingers and thumbs.
