Shiny eyelids were the talk of the town during the Fall/Winter 13 runway shows.
From super glossy at Antipodium to high-shine at Tom Ford, the trend for polished peepers has been a big hit with beauty watchers.
For the Tom Ford show, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury created shadows underneath the brow bone with the darker shade in the Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate palette.
Using a brush, she swept the colour across the eyelids from the inner corner to the outer corner and ran the same brush along the lower lids.
She then used a coffee-coloured pencil to draw a thin line along both the top and bottom lash lines.
Right before models stepped onto the runway, Charlotte used her fingers to dab a clear lipgloss onto the lids and just under the eye for a super shiny look that would catch the light and bounce it back.
Here are some products to recreate the look at home:
Smashbox Limitless Cream Shadow in Shimmery Teal
Sweep a dusting of this richly-pigmented shade to your lids before patting some Vaseline onto the corners of your eyes for a glossy finish.
Nars Shimmer Eyeshadow in Bombshell
This is a luminous, light-reflective shade which glides on easily. Apply one coat for a sheer look before adding blending a couple of dabs of M.A.C Clear Lip gloss for a super-shiny effect.
M.A.C Glamour Daze Eyeshadow in Divine Blue
This liquid-powder eyeshadow boasts prismatic reflections in eight shimmering tints. For a highly polished metallic effect use two coats before dabbing some Vaseline on top. © Cover Media
