This beautiful manicure, which is decorated with tiny glass beads, makes nails look like they have been dipped in caviar or lots of sprinkles.
It is created with beads from the Black Pearls and Rainbow sets. Depending on your preference, you can choose to alternate the colours on your fingers; or just set the colourful beads on one finger and decorate the rest with blue-black caviar.
Each set costs $34 and is available at Singapore Sephora stores, including #01-05 Ion Orchard, from March 21; it comes with a bottle of glass beads, matching nail polish and a funnel.
For the beads to stick on the nail securely, the polish must still be wet when you pour the beads over it, so you have to work quickly. If you prefer to take things slow, work on one finger at a time.
STEP 1: Apply two coats of a Ciate polish which matches the caviar you intend to use on each finger. |
STEP 2: Place a clear plastic tray on the table. With your fingers hovering above it, pour the beads over a polish-coated nail. In order for the beads to stick to the lacquer, it must still be wet. |
STEP 3: Once the nail is fully covered with beads, gently press them onto thepolish to secure them.
STEP 4: Place the funnel into the bottle of beads and pour the leftover beads from the tray into the funnel.
STEP 5: Wait 15 to 20 minutes for the manicure to set. It will last you about a day. |
This is best reserved for special occasions. For perfect caviar nails, this manicure should be the last thing you do before leaving the house. Make sure you already have your dress on or have someone help zip up your dress to avoid damaging your delicate nails.
