From May 5 through June 5, an exhibition called "N°5 Culture Chanel" at Paris' Palais de Tokyo will look back at the history and well-kept secrets of the French fashion house's legendary perfume. After sharing two videos online in 2012 -- one on the birth of Chanel No. 5 and another on its links with Marilyn Monroe -- Chanel is now organizing a temporary exhibition on the history of the perfume, created by Gabrielle Chanel in 1921. "N°5 Culture Chanel," conceived by Jean-Louis Froment, emphasizes the links between the legendary fragrance and its time. Light will also be shed on Gabrielle Chanel's various waves of inspiration that led to the creation of Chanel No. 5, in particular through works of art, photographs and archive films.
