Having a bad hair day? Not enough time to wash and blow dry? No problem.
We tracked down celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford to grab two super-quick styles to freshen up unwashed locks.
“The good news is that most up-dos work much better with unwashed hair,” reassures Lee, who has glamorised countless celebrities.
"But if you want to wear your hair down, a textured look is key.”
Fancy saving some time and looking super stylish in the process? Then read on for Lee’s top styling tips
Up-do
A top knot is the perfect look for unwashed hair. To achieve this style, firstly pull your hair back into a very tight ponytail at the crown of your head and secure with a hair band.
A great tip to get a flyaway free pony is to spray your hair brush with a spritz of hairspray and then using the brush, ensure that no hairs escape from the band.
Then rough up your ponytail with a bit of back-brushing to get some added volume - this is especially important if you have naturally fine hair.
Next, twist the pony in one direction until hair winds round on itself and then, tucking the end of the pony under the main body of the bun, pin down securely with hair pins.
For a more relaxed look leave some sections loose within the bun so they give a more natural effect.
Remember to use pins that match the colour of your hair so that they are well camouflaged.
Finish off the look with a generous mist of shine spray for that ultimate glass-like glisten and shine.
Down-do
If you want to have you hair down, textured waves are perfect. It is so simple to do when using a contemporary twist with a volumised messed up feel.
To achieve the textured waves use a wand and make sure to use my Big Fat Texturised Hair Super Spray or Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray for the ultimate wave.
