Target and Peter Pilotto announce Spring 2014 collaboration

London-based label Peter Pilotto revealed that it will be collaborating with American department store Target for a Spring 2014 capsule collection. The Peter Pilotto for Target collection is slated to be released at most Target stores in the US and Canada and also on their website Target.com on February 9, 2014.

While the latest Target collaboration, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Target – and the previous designer collections – were not available for purchase to the rest of the world, a curated assortment of the limited edition Peter Pilotto for Target collection will be available to international shoppers on online luxury retailer Net-a-porter.com.

What’s in store in Peter Pilotto’s first venture into high street fashion are womenswear, accessories and swimwear – most with a price tag less than USD60. That’s a far cry from their ready-to-wear collection that counts A-listers like Kirsten Stewart and Emma Watson as fans.

“By working with Target, we’re able to broaden our reach and bring our design aesthetic to an entirely new audience,” said Peter Pilotto.

“This is a pivotal moment for our brand. Our collection for Target embodies the elegance and spirit of our own line, but makes it accessible to everyone,” added Christopher De Vos.

“Peter and Christopher have a rare talent for capturing the essence and energy of London in a way that’s completely universal in its appeal,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president of apparel and accessories, Target. “This collaboration allows our guests to brighten their look at truly remarkable prices this spring. By working with Net-a-porter.com to make the collection available internationally, we’re able to introduce Target’s democratic approach to design to a new audience.”

Will the Target collection wow us in the same way as the structured full skirts inspired by colourful ceramics shown on Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2014 runway? We will know on next February!
