Good ol' Timotei is back. The trusty brand that conditioned the mane of many a woman in the '80s and '90s – who could forget the cheerfully catchy whistling jingle and blonde lady ad mascot back in the day? – has relaunched to woo a new generation of environmentally conscious beauty shoppers.
Reformulated with natural extracts of creamy avocado, almond, sesame and coconut oil, Timotei has also undergone a facelift (or is that hairlift) – the packaging is now cleaner and more contemporary, with a svelte, ergonomic body for ease of use in the shower.
Packaging aside, the latest shampoos and conditioners have also been stripped of parabens and infused with an active Jericho Rose complex that the brand says will deliver intense hydration and anti-aging goodness to your hair.
Interesting tidbit: The Jericho Rose, also evocatively referred to as the Resurrection Flower, grows in the arid deserts of West Texas in America, and can survive for long periods without water before bursting into bloom at the first sign of rain.
Timotei says their new formulation leverages on the remarkable resilence of the Jericho Rose, among other herbs, to rejuvenate dull and dry tresses for greater shine and a boost in volume. Best of all, the brand has retained its familiar, lightly comforting floral scent. Now you too can look and smell like a Timotei girl!
Timotei is available exclusively at selected Guardian Stores including ION Orchard, Paragon, Plaza Singapura, 313@somerset, Tanglin Mall, Suntec City, VivoCity, Serangoon NEX, JEM and Jurong Point. Prices start from $6.90 for 400ml.
