Pop star Mika previously provided the soundtrack “Mad About the Sea” in one of Swatch’s TV advertisements. Now, he’s injected his own trippy style into two Swatch watches.
The limited edition Kukulakuki – only 999 are available worldwide – is inspired by tribal masks and art from Morocco and Tunisia and meant to resemble a colourful totem pole in an imaginary mythical world invented by Mika and his sister. To tie the story all together, the watch comes in a special wooden-mask case that could pass off as an artifact unearthed from an ancient civilisation.
