When one thinks about Paris, many things come to mind – the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Champs-Elysees and the many little cafes that line the streets of the French capital. There’s nowhere else in the world better to sit back with a cappuccino than sitting at a café in Paris, watching the people go by.
It is possible to take that same laid-back, chilled out mindset and turn it into something physical. At least, that’s what we believe that French designer Axelle Oran of the brand Honore has done.
Launched in 2013, the new fashion label sources only natural fabrics to create its collections. Each piece is not only handmade but crafted from only 100 percent cotton or silk. They are super soft and lightweight – wearing a Honore piece recreates the relaxed mood that is reminiscent of hanging out at a French café. Oran has named every style after a Parisian café like Batofar and Le Perchoir that also provided the inspiration for the design.

While the chic drawstring Grazie dress would be perfect for drinks at its namesake pizza and cocktail Parisian hotspot, it is also elegant enough for the office when cinched at the waist with a thick belt and versatile enough for a casual dinner with friends after work at the hipster Tiong Bahru enclave right here in Singapore.
