She’s the latest star to rock runway-ready, Prada-inspired sleek locks. But rather than opt for a full-on, catwalk-inspired wet-look, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was sleek rather than slick
Article:

Want to create sleek runway-inspired locks like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's? Then you’ll need super-smooth hair to start with.

"Rosie wanted quite an architectural feel to the hair to complement the clean lines of the total look," Rosie’s hairdresser told The Hairdresser’s Journal.

"The style is a nod to the Prada hair from the catwalk, but we pared it down with a high-shine finish as opposed to a wet look, which would be much more extreme.

“I think that this is what modern evening hair is all about - less is more,” he adds.

George began by washing and towel-drying Rosie's hair, before applying a good mist of setting spray.

He then dried the hair, directing the dryer and hair away and back from the face using a paddle brush, before straightening the mid-lengths and ends.

To set the style he used Redken Quick Dry 18 and focused this around the hairline to give hold and a more sculptural look and a big mist of Redken Shine Flash for a high-shine finish.

It's a good idea to kick things off with a shine-boosting shampoo such as Umberto Giannini's Dazzleshine. This range has a matching conditioner and glossing mist, which can be spritzed over hair for a mirror-type finish.

Serums can also help calm frizz, but don't go overboard with the product otherwise you'll start to look greasy. We'd also steer clear of mousse, which can make tresses look dull and for once don't use dry shampoo for volume as that can also reduce shine. -- COVER MEDIA
