In order to get the most of any workout, it’s essential to feel as comfortable as possible, so in 2014, kick start your fitness regime by doing a spring clean of your workout wardrobe.
Toss out those old school PE T-shirts that weigh down on your skin when soaked with sweat and bin your bulky trainers. Trust us, you will forget all about their existence when you replace them with the new collections released in February 2014 by Reebok.
The new One Series performance apparel will be introduced in February 2014
First up, the sportswear giant will introduce an innovative construction system called Baremove into its performance apparel range – the One Series. Reebok has studied athletes to identify key heat zones, areas of flexibility and protection needs. This research is incorporated into the design of Baremove, a zoning system that targets these same areas within the One Series apparel to keep the body cool, free and protected for a comfortable workout experience.
Baremove construction ensures a comfortable workout
The Baremove construction system focuses on three parts – movement, cooling and protection. The performance wear is designed to give you full range of motion, breathability, and protection against abrasion and the elements. What this means is, your gear won’t get in the way when you need to lunge deeper thanks to ergonomic seam placement to increase your reach and stretch, plus abrasions will also be a thing of the past on long runs! Strategically placed ventilation areas help you stay cool and dry and bid farewell to pit stains at the gym.
The new Zseries running collection is inspired by racing tires
Once you’ve got your kit settled, it’s time for footwear. The new Zseries running collection is inspired by high performance racing tires – Z-rated tires – the same used in racing cars. The running shoes have been conceptualised with the same idea in mind – ultimate ground contact and ability to turn at high speeds.
Hence, the shoes’ unique foam compound features underfoot grooves (left) to allow the midsole to flex and expand in the same way the foot does during movement to increase contact with the ground – for rapid acceleration and better control around bends. The strategically placed Nanoweb upper (below) will keep the foot supported and centred even at high speeds for the best stability and control.
In a nutshell, the Zseries running shoes are made for a lightweight, cushioned and more responsive run – that’s performance gear made for racers.
The Reebok One Series Running and Training apparel and Zseries collection will be available from February 2014 onwards at Stadium and selected Royal Sporting Houses. For more information, follow Reebok on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ReebokOneSingapore.
