Warning: You will get hungry after reading this. It’s 4pm and you’re suddenly hit with a case of the munchies. You want a break from the computer and you reach out to your food stash but realise you’ve finished all your snacks. Or your colleagues have decided to gather in the pantry for an impromptu teatime session. Now what do you bring to the party?

To prevent yourself from being caught in this situation, stop by Marks & Spencer’s (M&S) food section to restock. There’s a reason why it’s one of our favourite places to shop -- the pictures on the packaging alone make every thing irresistible. And the food, from chips to yes, their teatime treats never disappoint.

But how do you choose from the huge array of sumptuous-looking treats? Here are five recommendations from Marks & Spencer’s to make your grocery shopping trip easier.

1.Redcurrant Puffs (three boxes for two at $7.80): These puff pastries come with a ruby-red centre of redcurrant jam and have been voted favourites by various people we know. The secret? Probably its just-right sweetness and flaky goodness which pleases any one with a sweet tooth.

2. Milk Chocolate Digestive Biscuits ($3.30): A personal favourite. These generously-sized round biscuits are dipped in rich milk chocolate on one side. Take my word for it, it’ll be hard just stopping at one.

3. Rich Tea Fingers ($2.90): Meant to pair with a piping hot cup of tea (which M&S also offers -- we suggest the organic green tea), these fragrant rectangular biscuits are perfect for dipping in a cup of Milo too.

4. Dutch Shortcake ($3.30): A combination of Belgian chocolate and buttery softness which actually melts in your mouth. What could be better?

5. All Butter Shortbread Fingers ($3.90
): Another good option to go with your tea, these are a classic, buttery English teatime snack.

Don’t stop there. February sees the stores put an emphasis on teatime treats so expect to see various jams, teas, biscuits and pastries take centrestage. You’ll be spoilt for choice.
