With Singapore’s sunny nature, it’s no wonder that we are constantly at risk of excessive sun exposure. Besides this cause, the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation on skin can also be accounted for by ageing.
To combat these skin problems, give skin radiance as well as to keep skin well-moisturised, Sisley introduces the new Intensive Whitening Serum to complete its Phyto-Blanc range.
Sisley’s Phyto-Blanc range currently includes Lightening Cleansing Milk, Lightening Foaming Cleanser, Buff and Wash facial gel, Lightening Toning Lotion, Ultra Lightening Mask, Clearing Essence with Vitamin C and Lightening Hydration Emulsion.
Formulated with a new active ingredient, Ascorbic Acid 2-glucoside (AA2G), this serum is said to lighten pigmentation spots that have formed as well as to prevent the appearance of new spots.
Basically what this means, is that when the Vitamin C derivative, which is stabalised with glucose, is applied on the skin, an enzyme present in the skin acts on the AA2G to continuously to release Vitamin C over prolong periods of time to visibly lighten the skin.
Vitamin C is known to prevent skin pigmentation by suppressing melanin synthesis in melanocytes and also has the ability to reduce pre-existing melanin in which lightening skin pigmentation.
The serum is also enriched with Extracts of Scutellaria, White Mulberry and Lemon to actively help whiten skin and reduce brown spots.
In addition to fighting dark spots, Sisley’s Phyto-Blanc Intensive Whitening Serum also contains Prickly Pear Flower extract to boost the activity of skin enzymes involved in exfoliation and Vitamin A Palmitate which boosts cell renewal.
Essential oils of Lanvender and Marjoram which improve skin’s microcirculation, as well as Vitamin E Acetate that reinforce skin’s natural defences are also present in this serum. The result after eight weeks, we hear, is a more radiant complexion and a more even skin tone.
Besides whitening, this serum is also enriched with active ingredients such as Vegetal glycerine to keep skin well-moisturised.
To use, apply two pumps of Sisley’s Phyto-Blanc Intensive Whitening Serum to the face and neck twice a day after cleansing, before skincare. The serum is lightweight, not sticky and instantly absorbs into skin leaving it with a matte finish.
Sisley Phyto-Blanc Intensive Whitening Serum retails at $400 for 30ml and will be available from all Sisley beauty counters in Singapore from mid-February 2012.
