Kirsten Dunst has returned to her “roots”, so to speak. The famously shy former child model has just been announced as the first-ever face of L’Oréal Professionnel.
The actress is slated to star in this year’s key launches for the French haircare brand, which include upcoming styling ranges like Wild Stylers from Tecni.Art, Beach Waves and Absolut Repair Lipidium.
Commenting on the no doubt very lucrative deal, Kirsten Dunst says she shares an affinity with her new hair partner: “The brand is strongly connected to fashion, and I admire its commitment to innovation, constantly creating new professional services and products to achieve the most on-trend styles.”
We’re hoping the 31-year-old actress – who’s performed in an eclectic range of films from crowd-pleasing fodder like the Spider-Man trilogy to arthouse darlings like Lars von Trier’s Melancholia– will bring some of her fiercely independent sensibilities to the forthcoming ad campaigns.
For now, here’s the first image released by L’Oréal Professionnel, which makes it abundantly clear why Kirsten Dunst was selected for the gig – just look at that impossibly glossy and full head of hair!
