We’re kicking ourselves for not having the “talon” to come up with this idea ourselves. Ciaté’s most covetable offering yet, the Flower Manicure Set allows you to nail the floral trend – with delicate dried flowers we like to imagine were gathered by hand from a sun-dappled meadow.
Each set comes a bottle each of polish and top coat, a nail file and tweezers. Layer on your base colour with the finely bristled flat brush that Ciaté promises will give you a smooth, uniform layer. When you’ve achieved the desired colour intensity, wait a minute or two for the polish to dry, then use the tweezers like a botanist to artfully place beautifying blossoms on top of your base coat.
Feel free to experiment: The paper-thin petals are translucent and buildable, so you could conceivably create a multi-layered ombre effect using the pastel palette of sky blue, faded red, buttercup yellow, lilac and salmon pink flowers. When you’re satisfied with your nail art, seal them in with a nice, thick layer of clear topcoat.
Finally, in case you’re wondering, all Ciaté products position themselves as 3-Free which means no toxic toluene, formaldehyde or dibutyl-phthalate in the formula. (Further reading: Browse our guide to find out more about the potential poisons to avoid in your nail polish!)
