Designer collaborations are now a dime in a dozen – almost everyone and their sister is jumping onto the bandwagon. Although the fashion world might be suffering from collab fatigue, every once in a while, there’s a new partnership that captures our attention – and credit cards.
We have lined up five of the hottest designer collaborations that will be the talk of the town this season.
Adidas Originals X Topshop
We spotted Stussy tees hanging off the racks at the local Topshop and the British high street label continues to take to the street for Spring Summer 2014 – it has just announced its collaboration with Adidas Originals for an exclusive collection. Expect the original Adidas logo – the trefoil – to be front and centre in this reimagining of classics for the street.
The Adidas Originals X Topshop collection will be launched globally from March 20, 2014.
Carven X No Name
Designer Guillaume Henry adopts the huge Spring Summer 2014 floral trend for Carven’s partnership with French shoe brand No Name. A pretty floral wallpaper print has been designed for the limited edition platform sneaker – there are only 600 pairs made.
The Carven X No Name will be on sale at the Carven boutique at #03-12 Ion Orchard from March 2014.
Alexander Wang X Beats by Dr. Dre
Beats by Dr. Dre headphones have had their superstar treatment with Lady Gaga and the now infamous Justin Bieber. But only fashion’s wunderkind Alexander Wang can transform the pricey audio equipment into sleek accessories. The limited edition collection has the designer’s signature gold accents and matte black finishes and each Studio headphones, Pill speakers and Urbeats earbuds come with their own embossed stingray case – posh!
The Alexander Wang X Beats by Dr. Dre collection is available at the Alexander Wang store at #02-03 Hilton Hotel.
Louis Vuitton Foulards D-Artistes
High fashion also takes a street approach this Spring Summer. Three artists – André Saraiva from France, Kenny Scharf from the US and Inti from Chile – have been picked by the fashion house to give the monogram shawl and giant square a fresh face in the third installment of the successful Louis Vuitton scarves collaboration.
The Louis Vuitton Foulards D-Artistes will be available in Louis Vuitton stores in April 2014.
DKNY X Opening Ceremony
Seems like three times is the charm as this season is also the third time DKNY is teaming up with Opening ceremony. The DKNY logo is emblazoned on every piece from beanies to sweatpants from the fashion brand’s archives from the ’90s for a look that seamlessly fits into the current sportswear craze.
The DKNY X Opening Ceremony is available at DKNY at #03-02 ION Orchard.
