Short-Sleeved Pleated Dress by Opening Ceremony for Estée Lauder. All illustrations by Cecilia Carlstedt
We very nearly lost our shimmery marbles when we first laid our mascara-ed eyes upon this seriously cool capsule collection from Opening Ceremony for Estée Lauder.
More power to the beloved American beauty brand for wanting to pamper their cabin boys and girls – they work so terribly hard and deserve to look fabulous while at it, we think.
The beautiful threads you can look forward to admiring while stocking up on Lauder loot come courtesy of the brilliant Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of Opening Ceremony, who have sprinkled sparkles of magic onto the 14-piece suite of blouses, blazers and belts.
Jacquard Peplum Blouse and Slim Pant
Note, for instance, how the jacquard print on some of the separates echo that of Lauder’s vintage packaging – dig up some of your Mum’s treasures to verify that, if you must. We also love how the enameled belts are reminiscent of old timey compact cases. Meanwhile, the guys get to enjoy a smartly tailored slim-fit pocket navy blazer, which they can pair with a tie in said jacquard print.
If you want to check them out for yourselves, Singapore’s cabin advisors can be spotted outfitted in the new Opening Ceremony uniforms starting today at the Ion Orchard flagship boutique, and at Estée Lauder counters island-wide from March 2014.
Take it from the boss himself, who says it best, we think. Richard Ferretti, senior vice president and global creative director at Estée Lauder. “Everybody deserves to wear something pretty spectacular and now they will be.” Talk about putting a fashionable face forward!
