The designer sent out a sumptuous mix of silks, lace, wools and dyed lambskins covered in coloured bird feathers, sequins, fabric leaves and red roses. The palette stayed true to fall with a mix of greens, browns, dark blues, yellows and oranges.

Versus Versace
Ahead of the upcoming Versus Versace collaboration currently in the works with Anthony Vaccarello, the label unveiled an Autumn Winter 2014 men's and womenswear collection designed by Donatella and her teams. Vibrant multicolour digital prints, rock 'n' roll black leather, camel colored outerwear, and the classic Versace gold chain all-over print all featured.

The label's signature fur sprouted from outerwear and appeared as belted shoulder wraps, and was contrasted by sporty mesh pieces. Designer Karl Lagerfeld was referenced in a furry toy clutched by Cara Delevingne, and in another neat touch, camera drones flying over the runway captured the action for the livestream, offering new angles on the collection.

Roberto Cavalli's youthful second line mixed his traditional bright prints with fur, more sombre winter floral tapestry pieces, suede dresses and knee-high boots, and a cool giant metal eyelets detail which was repeated across the collection. The leather biker jackets with oversized shoulders and cropped midriffs were a highlight.

At Costume National, designer Ennio Capasa stuck to a mainly monochrome palette with a few flashes of solid red, purple and navy blue. Wearing understated “nude” makeup looks with simple center partings in their hair, his models showed off slouchy tailoring and sharp miniskirts, pinstripes, and plenty of fur gilets and coats. - AFP RELAXNEWS
