Carine Roitfeld is reportedly teaming up with MAC Cosmetics on a new line.
The former editor of French Vogue has thrown herself into many different projects since she left the publication, the latest of which is expected to be announced today.
According to WWD, Carine and MAC are launching a limited edition range of colour make-up together.
“Set to launch this fall, the line has a heavy focus on the eyes and brows, mirroring Roitfeld’s signature smoky eye, bold brow and nude lip,” reports the publication.
Carine has apparently been very involved in everything, including giving ideas on shades and packaging. She also came up with the names of the cosmetics and will star in the campaign to promote them.
It’s thought the images have already been taken, with photographer Mario Sorrenti involved.
Although the new products are expected to be fashion forward, it’s not thought they will be too extreme.
Carine is a big fan of understated glamour and has regularly spoken about the need for women to feel a link to fashion and not see it as something which is too out there.
“I want to see a link between the catwalk and reality. It's difficult for the woman to understand how to wear the clothes she is seeing on the catwalk,” she said, when discussing the new magazine she is launching.
“Maybe I can find a new way of thinking and a totally different way to express myself. It's very exciting at this moment because it's a new challenge. Ten years is a long time. So I think maybe it's good to try to do something new.” - © Cover Media
