Fabulous 30 (PG, in Thai) Ja (played by the beautiful Patcharapa Chaichue) enters her thirties with her boyfriend of seven years breaking up with her. In steps a man Por seven years her junior, (Phuphom Phongpanu), who comforts her and they end up falling in love. What Ja doesn’t know is that Por had already set his sights on her years ago. Although we know becoming 30 is fabulous, it’s nice to be reminded sometimes. And this heartwarming, suitably cheesy romcom does just that. |

Jannat 2 (PG 13, in Hindi) It’s been awhile since Bollywood’s come up with a crime thriller as heart-pumping and exciting as this one. Emraan Hashmi is Sonu Dilli, an arms-dealer made good who just wants to pursue a quiet life with his doctor wife. However, a pact he made with police officer Pratap Raghuvanshi (Randeep Hooda) comes back to haunt him as he goes deeper into the arms business, becoming the second-in-command in a gang run by, of all people, his father-in-law. |

Love and Bruises (R21, in French) Well, when does love not come with bruises, right? Controversial Chinese director Lou Ye (who’s had his films banned in China) captures this sentiment with a teacher from Beijing and a French construction worker who fall into a deep, abusive relationship in Paris. |

The Howling: Reborn (M18) Like a mix of Teen Wolf and Twilight (without the vampires), the flick revolves around a high school kid who finds out he’s a werewolf. He ends up trapped in school with the girl he has a major crush on, having to battle his own mother, the alpha wolf in the pack. Too bad there’s no Taylor Lautner in this. |

21 Jump Street (M18) If the name sounds familiar, this movie is actually adapted from the TV series which made Johnny Depp a teen heartthrob in the late ‘80s. This time, expect both dangerous thrills and comedic hijinks as Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill play buddy cops who go undercover in a high school to investigate a drug ring. |

Dark Shadows Speaking of Johnny Depp, he’s back in his element playing old-timey, gothic characters while still managing to look hot. Here, he’s a wealthy man who gets turned into a vampire after breaking the heart of a witch (played by the smoldering Eva Green). He returns to his home in 1972 to find it in ruins and occupied by a bunch of his descendants who are hiding secrets. |

Safe Jason Statham knows what he’s good at and he just keeps on doing it. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s other half plays a cage fighter whose entire family is murdered by the Russian mafia and then meets a young girl whose life is now endangered by the same gangsters. She’s no ordinary kid though, but a maths prodigy who holds a numerical code that the triad, the Russian mafia and a corrupt group from the NYPD all want. |

My Girlfriend Can See Ghosts (PG13, in Korean) This isn’t your typical ghost story. Combining love and romance, with a dash of horror is this Korean flick about a girl who yes, can see ghosts and a magician who falls in love with her. |

Fairy Tale Killer (G, in Mandarin) Lau Ching Wan is a cop on the race to stop murders to which the murderer has already confessed to. He has to crack the code, found in the fairy tale books in the killer’s house, before more bodies show up. |
