Glee actress Jane Lynch hosted The Fragrance Foundation’s annual FiFi Awards in New York May 21, with big winners at the event -- dubbed the fragrance industry "Oscars" -- including designer Tom Ford and US lingerie giant Victoria's Secret.
Famous faces in attendance at the annual ceremony, which honours the fragrance industry's creative achievements, included Jessica Stam, Michelle Monaghan and Nicole Richie.
The latter presented Ford with his Nouveau Niche Men gong for Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge. The scent also came up trumps in the Nouveau Niche Women category, while the creator earned his third prize of the night in the luxe women section with classical European-inspired fragrance Tom Ford Violet Blonde.
It was also a night of celebrations for Victoria's Secret, with its perfume Victoria's Secret Angel scooping two awards. The fragrance, which has notes of sparkling plum, sheer violet and amber, won the coveted FiFi Consumers' Choice Award, voted for by the public. It was also awarded the Best Packaging of the Year - Broad Appeal Women prize.
As had previously been announced, the 2012 Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award went to Justin Bieber for his debut women's perfume Someday. Last year's prize, which honours a celebrity who has embraced and promoted the world of fragrance, went to Halle Berry. –AFP RELAXNEWS
