Lea Michele has been announced as the new face of L'Oreal cosmetics.
The Glee actress has landed the huge beauty contract that sees her follow in the footsteps of stars including Eva Longoria, Beyoncé Knowles and Jennifer Lopez. The 26-year-old star will officially be unveiled as the latest front woman for the French cosmetics giant later this month.
Lea spoke about her image and her thoughts on beauty in a recent interview with Allure magazine. She explained how she has always stayed true to the looks she was born with rather than bow to pressure from the industry to look perfect.
“When I was 15…a manager said, ‘You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you,'" Lea revealed. "My mother would say to me, ‘Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’”
On Saturday night Lea cemented her place as an A-list fashionista when she attended a party held in her honour by Nylon magazine in Beverly Hills. The celebration marked Lea's first cover shoot for the September TV issue of the magazine and the re-launch of Nylon TV. Lea donned a striking green floor-length Naeem Khan gown that was cinched in at the waist to draw attention to her slender figure.
